For sale is Kilgen Opus 7828. II/12 Located in Chicago IL. The original instrument is being sold whole and as-is. The secondary console is not for sale. The instrument is on 5” pressure. Currently installed in two chambers with pedal split between both. Church is a large barrel shape with acoustical tile and modest reverb. I’m not sure of the exact year but the church was completed in 1957, so around that time. The specs below may not be 100% accurate but should be close. Blower is 115/230, 3 HP, 1800 CFM @5”. Console is original wiring but chambers have Peterson diode-matrix. Four shade assemblies. I don’t have recordings at this moment. There were a lot of stuck-on stops and dead notes (no ciphers) when I tried it out, but it was a short visit and I didn’t have enough time for diagnostics. The instrument hasn’t been used since at least 2018. New building owners want it out soon, but it can stay in situ for a short time. Price depends on many factors. Removal, re-installation, and regional delivery available. Please contact if you are interested.
